This is the boring page which always goes into charity fundraising of this nature, so have a read through it and bear with me.

  • I am running numerous events over the course of 2009/2010 – each of these attracts a standard entry fee, which will be deducted from the fundraised amount at the stage of registration.
  • If I am running in an event which needs a Gold Charity Pass (ie as for the New York City Marathon) the charity I register with will specify a minimum amount of sponsorship required (ie for NYC this is normally £1500) and I will donate this amount to the charity, again out of the fundraised amount.
  • As with all International Challenge Events for charity, there are costs associated with taking part. As with all of these events, the essential costs will be fundraised for. This is why the official fundraising total on the website is £12500 rather than £10000 as per the name of the fundraiser.
  • Any additional money left over following costs being paid will be donated to the charity.
  • By the end of 2009/2010 a minimum of £10000 will be donated to the charities in question, pending it having been raised.
  • All items for auction have been donated to my by either the celebrity in question or by a respected autograph dealer/collector. They are presumed to be real but I am not infallible and I accept mistakes may sometimes be made. Please email me with any issues in this respect and I will be happy to discuss it.
  • A list of all events I take part in as well as the entry fee/minimum donation required will appear on this website.
  • One of the methods I use for my fundraising (i.e. the auction of autographs) means that I have to spend fundraised money to obtain them, and thus turn the money raised into even more funds for the charity. Expenses of this nature include Stamps (this is the biggest expense, coming in at £32 for 100 2nd class stamps and doesn’t count when I have to send heavier requests, or 1st class mail) as well as envelopes, letter printing, paper, card  and of course photographs for being signed. I issue a LOT of requests in order to get loads of things to auction, so please be aware that some of the money donated or used to pay for eBay items may well be reinvested in this manner.
  • The above does not apply to donations made directly through my Just Giving Fundraising Pages, which goes directly to the charity specified on the page, or if you make a donation and specify you wish to go straight to the charity.
